Elizabeth M. Renieris is the Founder & CEO of hackylawyER, and a leading expert on cross-border data protection and privacy laws (CIPP/E, CIPP/US), digital identity, and emerging technologies like blockchain and AI. She is also a fellow at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet & Society at Harvard University where she researches data governance frameworks for the digital age.
Elizabeth has served as in-house counsel at two digital identity startups, outside counsel with two prominent international law firms, and as a government attorney focused on cybersecurity. A frequent public speaker and advocate, Elizabeth has presented before the European Commission, U.K. Parliament, and a variety of international organizations.
She holds an A.B. from Harvard College, graduated on the Dean’s List from Vanderbilt Law School, and obtained an LLM from the London School of Economics.
